At Sånne farm you can cherry pick from the choice of experiences in Småland. There are cottages and boats for fishing in the lake Helgasjön. You can make day trips to nature and culture in the landscape of Småland that is well worth seeing. Just stay a week, some nights, have a Sauna, do some fishing in the evening, rent a canoe, a float or a boat or take a ride occasionally with that old steam boat Thor. Sånne farm has their own fishing-waters in Öhrfjorden, in the northwestern part of Helgasjön. The fishing permits for hand tackle, we do sell, allows you to fish in all of Helgasjön. Sånne farm is an old milling farm dating back to the 14th century.

Although our houses are surrounded by forest and lake, it is only two kms to the nearest petrol station and cafeteria and many inns can be reached by boat from our houses. In the towns of Moheda and Växjö, 10 and 20 kms away respectively,  you will find doctors´offices, pharmacies, banks and an angler´s shop. Within an hour´s drive there are medieval churches, furniture stores featuring modern Scandinavian design, factory outlets at the famous Orrefors and Kosta-Boda glass works as well as a number of smaller glassworks, like for example Transjö hytta, which offer good value for the money.  

Our houses are situated on the shores of Lake Helgasjön 20 kilometres north of Växjö, about three hours drive from Copenhagen, Malmö and Trelleborg.
